Welcome to my web site. I am an Associate Professor and Associate Chair (Graduate and Continuing Education) at the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. I received my PhD and Master’s degrees from the School of Library and Information Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and my Bachelor’s degree in Social Science (Major: Geography; Minor: Anthropology) from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. My main research interests are structural and individual factors in information behavior; perception, use, and outcomes of libraries; social media information seeking; and bibliometrics. I teach in the areas of research methods, human information behavior, information organization, and cataloging and classification.
